To C. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} CONFIDENTIAL. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/LG4.10.23.

HISPANO CAR. X1559 X4214

We have heard from CJ. that you could arrange
for us to try a Hispano Car through Messrs. Barkers.

For the test to be of any value to us we want
to be able to drive the car ourselves. We could get
the information we require if we could have the loan of
the car for one day. We should not carry out any
destructive tests but we should drive the car in a manner
to endeavour to show the weaknesses as well as the virtues
of their system.

It would be no interest to us whatever for us to
sit in the car and for an expert demonstrator to drive it.
