- 2 - E.2/HP.4.5.33. ---------------- Also with the patch as arranged, the instrument board forms part of the construction, and there is a liability that the front and rear portions of the patch may be damaged by careless storing and handling before final erection. To overcome these difficulties we propose to press the mount in the form of a flanged box, still making it from aluminium, so that the mounting plate can be attached to this box with suitable screws, and the whole assembly forms a complete unit which need never be taken apart by the coachbuilder. This improved construction is more costly, but we think it will be worth while by avoiding rectification of probable future trouble. The beading may require to be a little wider to cover effectively the radius that must necessarily exist on the outer corner of the pressed panel. BY/RD. is looking into the modifications required as outlined above. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
