Bailey - Chief Engineer} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/MJ.14.10.31. X.5280. SPRING CONTROL FOR 25 HP. STARTER CARBURETTER. It was agreed at the last conference in Derby that we should add a spring control to the starting carburetter so that it would always close, and will have to be definitely held open whilst the engine is being started. We have sent a Standardisation Sheet through for this modification. It has, however, since been pointed out that this arrangement will make the car very difficult to start by hand. It will mean that someone will have to hold the starter carburetter whilst another person turns the engine. We should be glad if you would confirm that you still wish this modification to go forward. We have got R's. agreement, but this fault was not pointed out to him at the time. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
