VIII if extreme cold has any bearing on the trouble, or if it is a batch of faulty material 3) Axle The thrust race is apparently giving out as on the last 10000 miles test. Have extracted steel chippings from the oil which look like ball race surfaces. Have wired you to know the size so that I can get a replacement. Axle is noisy on over-run from 40-30 M.P.H. 4) Brakes Thawing today & in the slush the brake thumps were exceptionally bad, making driving in American traffic conditions most distressing. I.S. & T.R. worse than Ferodo bestos for this trouble. We ought to push the direct coupled front & rear as hard as we can. 5) Suspension Am more than ever convinced that we want lower rating springs & adjustable dampers on this Car for American Conditions. Body rattles awful. Have the sunshine roof been rectified on production for letting draught at back in. | ||
