x8797 To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Mr. Lidsey. EFC6/T17.12.25. RE WATFORD MAGNETOS. Herewith we hand to you Watford magneto No.87407 This has been made up by Messrs. Norths with, in addition to the ordinary up-to-date improvements, the fitting of a thicker aluminium plate over the armature tunnel. On the bench the magneto is fairly quiet though the contact breaker is still noticeably noisy, and the gears developed an uneven rattle at high speeds. At slow speeds, the magneto on the bench at any rate was certainly quieter than the majority of Watford magnetos which we have tested. Will you please change this machine on 44-PK for the B.T.H. magneto No.356147, which we decided was rather noisy, and return to us. EFC. | ||
