RIN/EH. 30th November. 1934. Dear Sirs, For the attention of Mr. West. P.100 Headlamps with Lucas Graves Bulbs. You will probably have now had an opportunity of trying out the above lamps and the object of this letter is to recapitulate the various points discussed between us in connection with this matter. Firstly, as to the lamps themselves, the reflectors do not appear as white as we should have liked, this being mainly due to the stray reflections in the reflector of the langite sealing ring and the poorly finished undersides of the tripod. This does not of course effect the beam in any way and it can easily be avoided in any future lamps. The reflectors as you know, were spun and HAND polished, and by neither method is it possible to obtain quite the perfection of finish at which we aim in our standard productions. With regard to the lighting, we thought the beam penetration in the normal position was excellent but the light distribution was certainly not the best compromise for use in this country and we believe a considerably more restful light would be obtained by Cont'd........ | ||
