PHANTOM F.2 SERIES MATERIAL.
-------------------------

As a result of the discussion we had when you were at Derby, it was agreed that we should cut out parallel control for the front axle simply on the straight issue that Sales did not want a modification of this type to be brought on in the middle of their season for next year. This of course has been agreed to, and we have instructed F.2 series on this basis.

A further point arises viz. that the Experimental Dept. now propose to issue a standardisation sheet for the radiator having integral shutters, with a reduced length of tube for the matrix. It occurs to me that this would in itself represent a distinct change which might be as difficult for Sales to handle in the middle of the season as the axle control would, and I should therefore like to have your views on this point quickly, as I am holding the material for this section pending a reply. If you agree with the Experimental Dept's proposal it then depends simply upon whether the Works can produce the tools in time, as to whether we bring in the modification to the radiator or not.

One important point that we should like to draw your attention to, emphasised by the Experimental Dept., is that this radiator introduced on F.2 series would make F.2 series similar in this respect to the Sports car, that is to say the Sports car will have this type of radiator.
