X462 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}18/KW. 19th December, 1934. The Earl of Rothes, The India Tyre & Rubber Co.Ltd., Mileage Dept. (Area "B"), 80, Clapham Road, London, S.W.9. Dear Rothes, A friend of mine, Mr. Leslie Hawkins, who at present is running a Park Ward Saloon, has purchased two further Bentley chassis. On one he is considering having another Park Ward Saloon, for the other he has purchased one of our Experimental bodies. This body is similar to the one that Mr. E.R. Hall has fitted to his chassis, the mounting of which was carried out by Park Wards. I know that while Park Wards were so busy they were not very enthusiastic about doing jobs like this, but I would very much appreciate it if you would do what you can to help Mr. Hawkins. P.W's having done the job once should know just what it means and have a good idea of the cost. Mr. Hawkins' first chassis will not be delivered until towards the end of next month. Yours sincerely, | ||
