r6122 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.1/MA. 1st April, 1935. Messrs.Falcon Accumulator Co., Falcon Works, Oak End Waye, Gerrard's Cross, BUCKS. Dear Sirs, We are returning to you under separate cover the 12 volt accumulator which was delivered to us for testing purposes on the 25th of October last year. Extensive tests have now been completed on this battery and we regret to state that its performance on these tests was considerably inferior to our standard batteries. The weight of the battery complete was 91 1/4 lbs and its performance was compared with our standard battery which weighs 84 lbs. The high rate capacity of the Falcon battery was only 22% that of our standard battery and the capacity on the 10 hr. rate 80%. Cadmium analysis taken after these tests shewed negative weakness. In view of these results we find it impossible to proceed any further in the testing of this accumulator. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
