contd :- -7- checking the initial tendency to dive. Vll. FRONT ROAD SPRINGS. (a) Woodhead reversed leaf. These do not seem to have a material influence on the type of wobble with which we are dealing, nor do they appreciably reduce steering shocks. (b) Lamine 1250 and 1300 lbs. springs. These springs looked stronger than their poundage indicated. They appear to effect a definite slight reduction in high speed wobble tendency, and impart to the steering a feeling of great stability when braking, or cornering fast (1500 lbs. side steering tube spring). The riding of the front of the car is somewhat harsh at low speeds. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/W.A.Robotham. | ||
