BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to BJ. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X.7380 DAL/M13.9.28. 'SS{S. Smith}' 'X' SHAPED CROSS MEMBER IN FRAME. Herewith we send N.sch. 2707 on which we have shewn the revised support for the silencer. The object of sending this through now is to advise you that we want to alter the drilling of the cross, and we have indicated the relative positions of the old and new drillings. If the cross is in such a state that it can easily be altered we should certainly like it to be done for the first car, but if great inconvenience or delay would be caused we have shewn that by a slight modification to the supporting bracket the existing lightening drilling can be brought in. Future cars we should like to be like this. We are of course assuming that the 'X' has been drilled to N.sch. 2658. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
