Oy5 - G 19821 Sheet #2. August 19, 1921 If Mr. Royce will examine the gasoline distillation curve sent with my letter Oy4-G15821, he will see that a temperature of 175°F.{Mr Friese}, which corresponds about with the water temperature, will only account for evaporating 6% of summer-grade American gasoline at atmospheric pressure, whereas it will cause evaporation of 37% of English gasoline under the same conditions. Reducing the pressure will probably cause an even greater difference, so that at say half the atmosphere we might be able to evaporate nearly all the English gasoline but probably not more than 30% of American gasoline at a temperature of 175°F.{Mr Friese} Yours truly, MO/O ROLLS-ROYCE OF AMERICA, Inc.
