On consideration of the cover of the distribution board Mr. Royce is still inclined to think that we ought to have an aluminium pressing, and we send you herewith drawing No. LeC.1587 which should suppercode the previous drawing dealing with this matter. The metal cover is guided on to the board so as to avoid short circuits by 3 little bakelite guides secured with screws to the inside of the cover. Thus it will be seen that not only are short circuits avoided by properly guiding the cover, but a further provision of safety is made by using bakelite guides which insulate the cover from the studs at a time when a short is likely to take place. The little side flats or tables formed on these bakelite guides are to act as features for squaring up the cover correctly for height by engaging with the points of the studs before they enter the hole in the guides. With regard to the fuse wire Mr. Royce does not wish to have 2 bobbins or to supply 2 sizes of fuse wire He thinks the fine variety only should be supplied, and that the operator should have enough common sense to twist 4 or 5 strands of the fuse wire together, should the main fuse blow, if he had not any heavier wire available.
