ORIGINAL. URGENT. 2 To [REDACTED] from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Copy to C.L. M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} Des. E.N. S.H. E.A. " " EFC. E6/G3/5/19. X.3461 RE 40/50 H.P. SHOCK DAMPERS. Referring to the front shock dampers for the 40/50 H.P. chassis, it is believed that you already understand what alterations are needed and have in hand, a scheme to incorporate the larger ball joint on the connecting link, which it is intended to use on the rear shock dampers. Would you also please note that the anchorage on the front axle should be made in the form of a simple can-tilever ball,(as shewn in sketch) bolted to the eye section, instead of the complicated forging which is being used at present for this purpose.
