RE: INSTALLATION OF BENTLEY 6 CYLINDER ENGINE ON NO.2.C TEST BED.

It has been arranged that the above Test Bed be taken over by Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} Will you please therefore remove the following tackle from the same and deliver to Mr. Royce for storage.

1. Oil Cooler complete.
2. Cooling Stand complete.
3. Air Flow Rig complete.
4. Pipes connecting same.
5. Blower, Oil Pump etc.

These are being left in place as per arrgt. with Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}

It is not intended to remove the large Boost Tank in the roof and connections to the same should be blanked off.

6. The Instrument Board will be removed when it has been replaced with the new Instrument Board J.13218 which will be erected in the same position.

In addition to this removal and to the tackle previously issued to the bed the following items will be required:-

1. Cooling System.

The cooling tank will be placed in the roof over-flowing into funnel and returning to the water plant with steam and water connections to particulars as shown on our drawing J.15272.

2. Cooling System.

An Oil Cooling Tank is required to Arrangement J.10269 the Cooling Coil has been ordered from Messrs Haslam Ltd.

3. Brake Etc.

The existing D.P.X.4 Dynamometer will be used with the Tachometer Drive fitted which was ordered on memo EJJ/JV9/MM17.9.36.
