To OY. from Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to EH. c. to Na. {Mr Nadin} CK. {Mr Clark} X.3545 Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 1/LG12. 3. 20. X.36/12. RE GLEASON BEVELS. X.3545 Some months ago we asked you to obtain in America some sets of Gleason Bevels with 15 teeth on the pinion and 52 teeth on the crown wheel which would give us a back axle ratio of 3.47 to 1. We are anxious to recommend standardisation of the lower geared back axle, but we cannot do this because with the straight bevels we have not yet been able to obtain some gears which are quiet. Will you please let us know when we can expect these bevels. Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
