W/S. Hn.{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} X5992. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/MJ.1.10.31. SPECIAL 25 HP. CAR FOR R.{Sir Henry Royce} As you are aware, Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} has instructed a special body from Messrs. Park Ward for this 25 HP. chassis. For obvious reasons we do not wish to send this chassis to Park Ward's because it will have on it one or two new features. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} agreed when he was at Derby yesterday that we could take a standard production stock chassis and send it to Park Wards' to enable them to fit the body. I have discussed this point with Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} and he was in agreement except that he wished the petrol tank filler to be in the correct place. We should be glad if you will look into the question of which chassis could be sent to Park Wards' to enable them to carry on with the coachwork. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
