W.III.No.1. Removed from 3.B.50 now allocated for development on test bed.
W.III.No.2. On test fitted with Supercharger.
W.III.No.4. On test for general development.
W.III No.5. Fitted in Chassis 28.G.VI.
W III No.6. Fitted in Chassis 27.G.VI.
W.III No.8. Fitted in Chassis 25.G.VI - Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}'s car.
W.III.No.10. Allocated for fitment in 14.B.V. Continental Chassis.

W.R.No.1. New unit in accordance with specification issued in HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}/WSC.{W. S. Cassel}o/BA.14.4.39 3.25 dia bore, we give below summary of the main items required.
(a) Crankcase T.&.B.halves in L.5. Alloy.
(b) MB.4410 Crankshaft damper.
(c) EW.2170 Pistons - Aerolite to ECD.1269.
(d) EW.2179 Cylinder Block with GW.2180 Liners.
(e) Strengthened Exhaust Valves to PD.403 Motor Component produced inlet valves.
(f) EX.S.768 Camshaft, incorporating SCD.663.
(g) Oil Filter to SCD.1038.
Otherwise the engine is practically W-R-D

W.R.No.2 Late B.V.No.6 Unit converting/Wraith Ripple by fitting the following:-
(a) EW.2177 Cylinder Block produced in Nickel Chrome Molybdenum
(b) EW.2170 Pistons - Aerolite.
(c) Otherwise to specification issued in HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}/WSC.{W. S. Cassel}1/BA.19.4.39.
