Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} EY/SS.{S. Smith}1/N.4.3.33. BEMPORT SPECIFICATION SERIES I. Further to our memo EY/BS{A J. Barnes - Assistant Manager}6/N.4.2.33, it is now possible to give a more detailed specification of the Series I Bemport chassis, as required for the 200 sets of material being ordered. All information in the previous memo is included so that it is only necessary to refer to the Sections as laid down in the attached sheets. It is in accordance with Mr Elliott's latest instructions, and includes the following modifications from the original memo:- Fan - The fan pulley will be increased in diameter to give a slower fan speed, it may also affect the spring drive pulley. Front & Rear Brakes:- The brake lining material should not be ordered for the present. Servo Countershaft:- The lubrication system may be modified. Change Gear & Brake Mech: - Mr Elliott's Dept. will supply us with a design for this. Front Apron:- A stone guard will be incorporated in this design, and will be supplied by R.W. Petrol Tank:- This will follow the design W.ch.3492, but of 18 gall. capacity. IMPROVED BAFFLING Headlamp & Fittings:- The brackets EX.100A have been included. In addition to the above Mr Elliott's Dept. will supply us with the following designs:- Air silencer for S.U.Carburetters. Wire fitting. Inlet pipe, or balancing washer. Exhaust silencers and suspension. Return hot spot pipe. | ||
