W. A.{Mr Adams} Robotham Esq.,
Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd.,
DERBY.

Dear Mr. Robotham,

Thank you for your letter of the 26th., and suggested arrangements for con. rod bearings. We are putting in hand a set of rods to accommodate these bearings.

You say that it would not be dangerous in our case if these bearings were to turn round and that you have therefore not located them, but one of the blue prints you sent shows a suggested location (similar to that used on thin backed bearings). Is it your intention that we should use this type of location on the experimental rods?

Your remarks re. Marles steering are noted. We are already in touch with them on this question.

I fear there will probably be some difficulty in fitting this type of steering to your 20 h.p., as there is very little room in the region of the steering box on this model, and unless Marles steering is no bigger in any direction than the present Burman one, it would almost certainly not go in without considerable modification to the frame and front cross member.

Yours sincerely,
THE ROVER COMPANY LIMITED.

Technical Department.
