To Vs.{J. Vickers} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/JMc.21.5.40. 4-Cyl. Engine Patterns. Vs.{J. Vickers}10/MF.26.4.40. We are somewhat disconcerted by the price which we are asked to approve for the 4-cyl. engine pattern. On Dec. 14th, 1938, these same people quoted £295 for a 6-cyl. pattern and core-box, and yet for the 4-cyl. engine quoted £552. Presumably you approved of the quotation and gave them the go-ahead, but I cannot understand the discrepancies in the quotation. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
