Electrical cut-out has functioned O.K. The points are in a very good condition.

Accumulator suspension.
Temporary battery box & support to Drwg. F.53198.

These are O.K.

Exhaust silencer & brackets.

The lagging on silencer has started to bulge out in the centre. Brackets & bolts are in a sound condition.

Exhaust Swan Neck & Snout.

These are in good condition. There is a boom from exhaust on over-run. Also the note from the exhaust gives one the impression that it is crippled somewhat.

Petrol Tank & fittings.

There is a slight leak of petrol from flange on centre of tank. Fittings & tank are O.K.

Rear spare wheel carrier.

This is still in good condition. We have not experienced any trouble with spare wheel tyre becoming loose.

Side spare wheel bracket.

This is quite O.K.

General examination underneath the car.

Frame, frame ties & brackets, equalizing shafts & bearings, cross members & flanges - these all appear to be O.K.

Front wings.

We consider front wings to be very poor & weak. We are continually having to repair cracks, to hold the wings together. Stouter material should be used for these. We also recommend that the wings should not be tied to the running boards.

Total average speed during test .......... 35.1 m.p.h.
" petrol consumption " " .......... 17.1 m.p.g.
