In the summer time, on account of the high temperature of the atmosphere, the generator will heat up sufficiently to cause the thermostat to open in 10 to 15 minutes, when the output will be reduced to the minimum - therefore, the battery will not be overcharged in hot weather. It also takes care of conditions where the car is stopped and started often, for the reason that when the car is stopped, the generator will have a chance to cool off, allowing the thermostat points to close and when the car is started again, the generator will give maximum output. If another short drive is made, the generator will not be heated up sufficiently to open the thermostat points, etc. thereby giving a high charge rate necessary to keep the battery supplied with current for starting.

The unit I am sending you is a production unit, which we have been using on all of our generators for the past five years. You will find that it is thoroughly sturdy and reliable.

In order that you may thoroughly understand our product, we would be very pleased to make up a sample set for you, because we are so sure that if you have experience with this generator in operation you will be highly pleased with same.

Very truly yours,
REMY ELECTRIC COMPANY
