-3- Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Drw.11/M.S.7.32.Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} clutch slip after a synchromesh change of gear that we consider important. We think it desirable to reduce both the unit pressure on the Ferodo and the effort required to declutch. The actual pedal pressure is greater than the calculated pressure due to inefficiency of the operating mechanism. Chrysler use ball bearing pivots to minimise this. Cadillac, Lincoln, Marmon, La{L. A. Archer} Salle, Buick and Packard use two or more plate clutches on their larger cars. We consider this the solution of the difficulty on a large car. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Ery. | ||
