R.R. 755 (5 H) (S.P. 621. 2-5-19) G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 2381. STANDARDISATION of CHASSIS PARTS. ORIGINAL 107212 Description of Parts. Split Piston. Oval ground, split axially and circumferentially giving uniform flexibility on the whole length of fitting portion. Origin. The elimination of piston knocks. COMPLETED 10.12.19. Experimental Test Report. Extract from EH1/LG71119. These pistons have run 100 hours on the bench test. From the results of tests we consider it is quite safe to use these split type pistons until we have proved the Ram type piston. Road Test Report. See EP{G.
