1021 c. Mr. Green. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}10/MH.{M. Huckerby} 15th. December, 1939. C.W.Ward, Esq., Messrs. Park Ward & Co. Ltd., 473, High Road, Willesden, LONDON, N.W.10. Dear Ward, Many thanks for the Agenda. In order to enable you to go further with some of your cost estimates we give you the following replies to your questions. (1) The three types of chassis will be identical behind the dashboard. The bodies, however, will require two types of scuttle, one to suit Rolls-Royce cars which will be the same as that fitted on the Ripple you have built, and one to suit Bentley cars which will be similar to the ones you are building on B.V.'s. (2) We would like you to tell us what effect on cost variation in this feature wouldhave. As a maximum we should say that we require two types. (3) No. We are going to use the same size wheel for all models. The tyres will be varied between 6" and 6 1/2". We do not think it will be necessary to vary the wheel arch for this. (4) We want the thinnest pillar which is compatible with the purchase price fixed. | ||
