With the adoption of the vacuum pump replacing induction suction, it should be noted that the Autovac piston type suction elbow is no longer required, the original plain suction elbow with the usual non-return valve should be used.
The piston type suction elbow as well as being superfluous restricts the pump action unnecessarily.
