26th April, 1938.

The Zenith Carburettor Co.Ltd.,
Honeypot Lane,
Stanmore,
MIDDLESEX.

For the attention of Mr. A.E. Palmer.
30 H.P. D.C. 42.

We are recommending, as a cure for flat spots on the
above carburettor our modification of the leather accelerator
pump piston. Have you any objection to this being carried
out at our Depots or would you prefer to make the changeover
your goodselves?

We also enclose a print to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}46/.

This is applicable for all carburettors that have the
complaint of popping in the exhaust on over run and supercedes
our last effort. You will notice that the positions of air
feed has been altered in agreement with your Mr. Fisher as
to it being more balanced.

The writer understands that you have 3 carburettors
to modify for the Derby Repair Depot to m.46/.

Yoursfaithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
