with a screw thread. We have, however, ordered some soft red fibre washers and expect that we shall get better results with them as the washers which have been used previously have been hard. [Handwritten: X.4160] We think that we ought to endeavour to fix the petrol [Handwritten: X3781] filter on the carburetter at the same time as we standardise the tank with the side filler. It is unnecessary and extravagant to have two places to fill up the tank and two separate filters in the tank. Our present filter for the petrol is unnecessarily difficult to get at to examine and for that reason it often gets neglected.
