1029 11th May 1937 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale}14/AP. Messrs New-Hudson Ltd., Icknield Street, BIRMINGHAM 18 For the attention of Mr.Frazer. Dear Sirs, The car with Girling Brakes on the rear axle has returned to the Works here, and is now being stripped. We have not examined the assemblies yet, they will be ready for inspection next Thursday. If you would like to see them will you please say when you will come over, Thursday afternoon, Friday or Wednesday 19th. We would like to show you an idler lever made by yourselves which failed. This lever is a terrible piece of mechanism to have put on a car, and it might have led to a serious accident. We are thinking of fitting a car up with a wedge operated brake system, the adjustment to be in the wedge unit. We would like to discuss the position with you. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED | ||
