ELECTRICS & GOES FURTHER. FITTING
AN AUTOVAC FUEL FEED (A MANY OTHER SO & P UNITS), THUS ELIMINATING
THE INTRICATE AND VERY COSTLY -
TROUBLESOME PRESSURE
FEED (NOW 18 YEARS OLD).

We are agreeably surprised in the improvement it is
possible to make to the appearance of the 40/50 chassis by
fitting Goshawk electrical equipment in place of the present
standard.

6.EX Car is now practically complete with this equip-
ment. There is no reason why the equipment we are fitting should
not be fitted as standard at a very early date with the exception
that we require a larger generator and the earth contacts on the
ignition switch for the magneto.

* We are also fitting 6.EX Car up with a vacuum tank
in place of the pressure system. * By fitting on the vacuum
tank we are able to get rid of the air pump on - (1) Governor
case (2) Hand operated air pump (3) Pressure gauge (4) Petrol
tap and pressure tap, also a large number of pipes and connections.
Also, using the vacuum tank has enabled us to fit the rear tank
with Goshawk fittings. We are using the side filler, the petrol
level indicator and the filter identically the same as used on
the Goshawk.

We also find that the wheel carrier designed for the
Goshawk to carry spare wheels on the running board can be made to
come in excellently for the 40/50. It will provide an infinitely
superior wheel carrier to that we have hitherto had on the 40/50
and we think it should be a boon on all cars.
