Captain B.D. BYFIELD,
Hewshott House,
LIPHOOK, Hampshire.

Dear Captain Byfield,

Very many thanks for your letter, which was waiting for me when I got home last night.

I fear I cannot help you over the matter of the car very much, as I have been away from that side of the business since Sept. 1939, but a few of our London Sales Department are still operating and I am writing to one, by name of Henderson, and asking him to get in touch with you, making suggestions as to how we can help you to dispose of the car. Also I will try and see if anything can be done up here and let you know. It does seem a shame to have such a beautiful thing sitting doing nothing. I do hope we will be able to help you.

My wife and I were delighted to hear from you. We often think of the good old South and wonder when we will get back.

I am glad to say we are all very well and so far have been very lucky as regards noise etc. at night.

I am writing this in the office, but Jacqueline asked me to remember her to you and your family and hopes you are all well.

I do hope Henderson will be able to help you and please let me know if I can do anything more to help.

With kind regards,

Yours sincerely,
