Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to BJ. X5771 E2/M24. 8. 28. RE. 20 HP. SLOW RUNNING. X.5771 X.508) X.1053 The general standard of slow running on the 20 HP. has never been superlatively high, and this we have attributed to the combustion chamber. We are now inclined to think that some improvement could be effected by an alteration to the carburetter, such as the addition of a slot near the edge of the throttle connected to the starter carb. With a view to making a preliminary test for such a scheme R.{Sir Henry Royce} would like you to try the Zenith carburetter on the 20 HP. for slow running. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
