Tests carried out on brake test rig. SUMMARY OF TEST. We are immediately testing on the road a servo brake fitted with cast iron liners in place of the Ferodo. Tests on the road have confirmed the results obtained on the test rig that the wear on the Ferodo is very rapid if at any time the Ferodo on the servo becomes over-heated. We have a case in which after the 4 brakes of the car have been applied, (to absorb the full power of the engine at 20 m.p.h. on top gear for 2 miles) that after this it was necessary to take up the adjustment of the servo 19 notches on a test run of 170 miles.
