We acknowledge your letter of the 24th.inst., reference Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.9/JH, in which you request information regarding the sample of a proposed new type of headlamp which Mr.Oliver Lucas mentioned when he visited your works recently.

We would inform you that this sample is proceeding, but at the moment is not in a sufficiently advanced stage to submit for your examination. We are, however, hoping that it will be available during next week, in which case our Mr.F.G.Thacker will visit your works and bring the sample with him.
