Re: Professor Dodds' Bentley Car.

Arrangements have been made for the car to be left at the Service Station, Kingsbury, on Monday the 27th.

I asked him to let me know how the car behaved over the weekend. He says the missing occurred slightly and passed off as soon as the car got really hot. After one has been going at a low speed for a considerable time and one accelerates, the missing comes on at about 2,500 revs.

You will remember Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} said that the plugs previously returned had been cleaned by somebody and therefore the evidence destroyed. Professor Dodds tells me that Archer has had at least three sets so that other evidence should be available.

I am particularly interested in this case for various reasons, one because we are recommending Ethyl and this seems to be a peculiar case which has arisen from its use.

I understand you are arranging for Hancock to take the matter in hand.

Professor Dodds would like the car back by the 12th of August and wishes us to send it to Park Wards when we have finished with it, as they want it back owing to the paintwork giving some trouble.

This means that you ought to let Park Wards have it some few days before the 12th, which I hope will be possible.
