(2) Taking the time for the cars to accelerate from 50 - 60 m.p.h. over a given piece of road. The times obtained by Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} are naturally of comparative value only as the road favoured the cars to ensure 60 m.p.h. being attained by the small bore chassis. They are however, as follows :-

Large Bore. Small Bore.
50 - 60 m.p.h. acceleration 7 4/5 secs. 8 2/3 secs.

Approx. Mile Stretch between two fixed points. 69 secs. 74 secs.

With regard to 17-G.4. Having no similar body we were unable to carry out comparative tests on this car.
