Dear Sirs, Attention - Mr. J.M. Whitehead. We thank you for your enquiry of the 28th ult., regarding a complete Coil Ignition Equipment of a type already fitted in some standard makes of 6-cyl. chassis. Replying to the second paragraph of your letter, we would say that we shall be very pleased to supply such an equipment for the purpose of your experiment, and we assume that you would prefer one of our semi-automatic distributors, that is to say, a distributor having automatic control of the advance and retard in addition to the usual manual control, in preference to a purely manual control model. Acting on this assumption our recommendation and quotation for such an equipment will follow in the course of a post or two, but should our surmise be incorrect, we shall appreciate your advising us so that we may put forward alternative equipments for your consideration.
