Contd. -2- Some little time ago we impregnated one or two of your induction coils in our standard compound, and from the remarks made to the wirter at the time by your Mr. Clark, Mr. Burton and Mr. Brock, we should imagine that the Bituman compound would not be entirely satisfactory under the wide variation of temperatures which you are apt to meet with in motor-car work. The sample of Varnish which we are now sending you is particularly good in this respect, and has the further advantage that it is oil, water and acid proof, and does not become brittle at freezing point, neither does it become brittle and soften at the temperature of 220 F.{Mr Friese} and perhaps you would like to make some further tests and impregnate some of your own fine wire coils with this varnish and judge for yourselves whether you care to use it on your work. We are, Yours faithfully, for ROYCE LIMITED. J.C. Bently. B/EH. | ||
