Mr. W.A. Robotham,
Rolls Royce Ltd.,
DERBY.

My dear Robotham,

I have tried to get some information together for you in connection with your letter of the 15th which accounts for my not having replied sooner.

With reference to your suggestion to come down to the Vauxhall Works on Friday, October 23rd, I have made enquiries here and find that this is perfectly satisfactory, and the boys in the Engineering Department, as well as the Management, would be very glad to see you at that time. I, myself, am planning to leave for Germany that evening, which might mean that I would have to leave a little early, but I do not believe this would interfere with your seeing whatever you would like to see.

At that time, we will have ready for you the information regarding door wedges, and we will also be able to tell you something about our experience with piston rings and oil consumption, as per Mr. Taub's recommendation, as the boys here have been working on the same problem during the past few months.

Very truly yours,

W.D. APPEL
