RE : ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT ON GLN-60.

We have decided not to put a standard half charge dynamo on this car but to modify the whole dynamo charge system to the very latest 3-charge scheme which we are putting forward for production on the 20/25 in the near future.

The switchbox is arranged for a Winter and Summer charge position but on switching on the head lamps full charge is available. There are thus 3-rates of charge - the lowest one with the two stages of resistance inserted in the field circuit for Summer day running, the second rate with only one resistance inserted is for Winter day running, and the third rate of charge with no resistance at all inserted in the field circuit is intended for head lamp running only and on switching on the head lamps both resistances are automatically short-circuited.

The dynamo fitted to this car will be of the very latest high output type and we are fitting also a new up-to-date battery. We should be glad if you will note the charging conditions on this car and let us have your views as to its suitability for production.
