Rolls-Royce Ltd. 14 Conduit Street, W. Dear Johnson, I was speaking yesterday to Mr. Watson, a Director of the Burmah Oil Co. He tells me that they have been experimenting with lubricating oils suitable for lubrication of aircraft engines and they have evolved an oil in which Castor Oil is largely mixed, similar to compositions already on the market. The advantage of it is that for flying in India the heavy cost of shipment would be avoided and the material would be available on the spot. I suggested to him that the quickest way to try out the oil would be for your Company and the Burmah Oil Co. to get in touch.
