X.8992 X.8770 X.7770 The following recent improvements are for testing in France next Winter :- (1) Correct auto advance - metal piston. (2) Hydraulic shock dampers - 80/40 or 100/50 as found best. (3) Pistons e (unimportant) single bolt pedestal. (4) Valves that will least cause self ignition. (5) Alum. carb. with bronze ring on air port. (6) Red light on thermometer for bonnet. (7) Steering - 2000 lbs. per in. buffer springs, and all ball joints spring loaded. (8) Light axle - front. (9) New tyres - semi-balloon. (10) 2 level, 2 filter, back tank, and white faced gauge. (11) Std. battery. P.&.R. or mixed half and half. (12) Revised oil relief valves. (13) Duralumin throttle disc. (14) Cutout stop and latest mechanism. (15) Switchbox altered to B. & M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} with O.{Mr Oldham} charge etc. Separate switch to cut out magneto. -------- This car will do for me until we get lighter Phantom engine and chassis, EAC. 7 & 9., when I shall hope to have a new body, perhaps of a different type.
