For the attention of Mr. Flower.

Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter of the 1st. inst, which we had mislaid when we wrote our Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}6/KT.

We should like the thermostat to open at 75°C for the car radiator.

We have another application, - we wish to use a thermostat that will operate a valve which cuts off extra lubrication to the cylinders at a temperature of 25°C. We do not know whether it would be possible to make one of the new type of thermostats to operate at such a low temperature, but it has only to exert a force of about 3½ lbs.

If such an instrument can be made, we should be glad to know the dimensions with which it would have to conform, in order to do the job.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
