| To C. from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c.c. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}5/KT. 21.10.33. At the request of Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} we gave Mr.Dalton of Belper a trial run on the open car on Friday the 20th. We understand that on the strength of this he is confirming his order. With regard to the Summers family of Shotton, Chester, Geoffrey Summers has agreed to let Richard his brother have the chassis which was reserved for him by Watsons of Liverpool and to wait for the second. On the strength of our conversation, I assured R.Summers that he would get delivery of his chassis in January, could you please confirm this and let him know the chassis number when you have made the allotment. Also can you say when Watsons of Liverpool will get their second and third chassis? If reasonable delivery is possible, there are several other potential purchasers in the family and district.
