"SAVERY" PETROL. PUMP.

This pump was subjected to an endurance test of 20 hours at 1000 P.R.P.M. using oil which had been extracted from the crankcase of a test bed engine.

At the end of this period approx. 8 ozs. of fine soot was mixed with the oil - there was roughly 3 galls. in the tank - and the test continued for a further period of 5 hours.

When examined the pump was found to be in excellent condition, showing no signs of scoring on the pumping components.

The shaft was slightly marked, but this was due to the primitive method of lubrication.

MK1. G.3537. PAT. 352268.

This pump had two inlet, and also two outlet ports, but did not contain two independent units; with either suction pipe disconnected, pumping ceased.

It was tested under the same conditions as the Kestrel petrol pumps - 12 ft. negative, to 12 ft. positive head, using 75/25 petrol.

INITIAL PUMPING SPEED - DRY 1500 P.R.P.M:
- PRIMED 500 P.R.P.M.
MINIMUM PUMPING SPEED 150 P.R.P.M:

GEAR. CONDOR PUMP:

12 ft. Negative head.

INITIAL PUMPING SPEED - DRY 1800-2200 P.R.P.M:
- PRIMED 500 P.R.P.M.
