Mr Bailey 18.4.12.

TRB5/L18412.

The Repair Shop are reporting some trouble as regards the wear on the lower end of the hand lever at the point where it bears in its groove on the bracket. A suggestion was made by Mr Wearham that the spring plunger bearing on this lever should be allowed a little more outward movement by fil-ing a slot in the tube.

This suggestion is of course no value because such an alteration would merely vary the position of rest of the lever.

The Committee wish you to go into the matter to see if the amount of bearing surface can be increased or whether any other means can be adopted for overcoming this difficulty.
