(2) I regret to say that so much of what we are proposing - i.e. bigger crankshaft and balance weights, longer con. rods, and stronger crankchamber, add to the weight and cost, and we must watch extra carefully how we can save fractions of money and weight. Here on these rough slow roads 18-EX. (V5HP.) shews most defects from torque reactions at 20 MPH. Possibly it would be better with softer mounting, which is agreed shall be done.
