27-EX.

Replying to Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}2/E22.1.31.

This car at present is not being used. It was loaned the other day to give a trial run to Lord Mickleham when he was at the Works, but otherwise it is waiting for us to add new parts to it.

The most important thing we have to fit to this car is the twin carburettors. These carburettors demand a petrol pump in place of the autovac to fit them. The carburettors we are working on on the test bed, and are not yet ready for the car. The petrol pump is being produced and should be finished in a few days.

We, of course, would like to add to this car the new type engine mounting, but we have no designs for this.

We quite expect that this car will go down to Le CanadelHenry Royce's French residence either the end of February or early March but until it has parts fitted to it which are worth running the car is not being used.

If you can make use of this car in London for two or three weeks we should be glad to let you have it but it must be remembered that it has the new radiator, dash, and thermostatically operated radiator shutters etc.
