Re: Ammeters. ----------- Referring to BY.1/G.25.11.37, relating to ammeter failure on chassis 3-CP-28, I have submitted a proposal to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} for his agreement to change the ammeters on all cars that are doubtful, and he has agreed it is most important to have the ammeter examined as soon as possible. We are not to wait until a car comes into a Depot, but arrangements should be made for the cars to be sent in, and the existing ammeter would be replaced by one that has been examined and corrected if necessary, by the Weston Co. Unfortunately, we have no supplies of ammeters available due to the Weston people moving into a new factory, and they anticipate it will be about a fortnight before they can let us have a supply to be used as a floating stock. I should like you to get the Depot Sheet moving however, and it could be circulated, immediately supplies are available. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
